Common Issues And Stages of Braces Aftercare
- During your braces treatment, it’s normal to experience discomfort as your teeth shift. For pain relief, try consuming cold foods like ice cream or chilled drinks. If the pain persists, paracetamol is a suitable option, but avoid other painkillers as they can impede tooth movement.
- In the event of a bracket falling off, don’t worry. Visit GTC Dental, and our dentist will expertly bond and cement it back onto your teeth.
- Occasionally, food may get stuck in between the wires. Use interdental brushes, water flossers, or super floss to remove trapped food particles and ensure it doesn’t interfere with your teeth movements.
- If you have turbo bite with GIC to open your bite, plan for longer eating times or opt for a softer diet. With only four teeth touching, it can be challenging to eat during this period.
- For brackets that cause gum irritation, apply dental wax to prevent the development of ulcers in that area. Your comfort is our priority at GTC Dental.
